Where Do I See Payer Responses?
AdvancedCare collects Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) files from enrolled payers and makes them available in the Remittances section.
Locating remittances
- Navigate to Claims > Remittances.
- Use the filter bar to search by payer, date range, or check/EFT number.
- Click any row to open the full remittance detail, including line-level adjustments and reason codes.
ERA vs. EOB
- ERA (835 file) — Machine-readable remittance that AdvancedCare can auto-post to your claims. This is the preferred format for most payers.
- EOB (paper or PDF) — Human-readable explanation. For payers that do not support ERA, you can upload a scanned EOB for manual posting.
Auto-posting
When ERA auto-posting is enabled (Settings > Billing > Auto-Post ERA), AdvancedCare will automatically apply payments and adjustments to the matching claims. You can review posted remittances in the Posted tab and reverse any incorrect postings.
Enrolling for ERA
If you are not receiving ERA files from a payer, go to Settings > Payer Enrollment and submit an ERA enrollment request. Most payers activate ERA enrollment within 3–10 business days.
